The Committee

We now have a committee which helps organise and run the garden for its members. They give their time and expertise free of charge. They continually help organise and raise funds to make this wonderful project a success from start to finish.

The committee is made up of local community members from the Lisnaskea area and will meet once a month. Any problems that arise will be addressed and solved by the committee.

Dermot McGoldrick - Chairman

Dermot has worked very hard with the project over the last year and has built and maintained the website among many other tasks.

Although work now keeps him away from the garden more than he would like, he will always be close at hand to help if needed.

Dennis Hansen - Secetary

Dennis Hansen is another volunteer of high standing, a chef by trade, who put his shoulder to the wheel in the creation of CHE and is also our diligent secretary. Because of his cooking skills, he can advise on how to create an excellent meal out of our produce, eg. which tastes best with which Mmmmmmmm!

Irene Mohan - Treasurer

Irene Mohan, a local community worker with the RSPB, was the first person to realise the potential of this piece of idle ground.

She has walked the bird path on many an occasion while leading groups of sightseers and has also been voted in as Vice chairperson because this lady never stops 'till the job is done.

Carolann Smyth - Vice-Chair

Carolann has really stepped up to the plate and helped out with numerous jobs and roles already.

She will be producing a newsletter each month for all Che gardeners; the first one will be available from the beginning of April.

Mark Robinson & Raymond Mc Brien

Mark Robinson and Raymond McBrien (with the baseball cap), both mediators at Killadeas Special Day Care Centre.

Both spend a lot of time at the gardens, sorting pathways, making sure they are clear of weeds as well as offering great input on behalf of the SHARE group at the committee meetings every Thursday.
